Some of Nature that influences my Art and my day in Sydney !

In Australia l am fascinated by Nature. Why l am more interested than l am in UK confuses me ? I have always been interested in Nature and it has always been part of my Art, in one way or another. Below are some of the images l have seen here that have really influenced my Art, especially the rocks, sea life, seaweed and stones on some of the beaches.

On Friday l went to Sydney to visit a Textile Show, being held in The Convention Centre, in Darling Harbour. Oh l did enjoy being in Sydney again!  I absolutely love looking after my grandson but l have to admit ... l miss this place! The first thing that struck me was the amount of unusual building there are here in Sydney ! Here are just a few that l photographed ... l uploaded 240 images from the day! Ha!

I also found some interesting marks and shapes as well ... to me any way!

There were lots of interesting things in the Textile Show and l have to admit l bought quite a few "art" bits and pieces. One of the things l did buy was a small weaving frame. It is something l have wanted to do for ages. So when l saw a beautiful, small wooden set ... l had to buy it. Watch this space!

It was the start of Chinese New Year (  恭禧發財 ) a week or so ago! It is the year of the Pig.

They was also a festival being held, called The Festival of Chinese Lanterns.  There were some interesting characters hanging around the place .... :)

Love these birds, they are called Ibis's. I went around collecting their feathers, to use them for the making of my " angels and wise women" dolls. Would you believe in less than half an hour l had collected 130 feathers! Yeh!!

Then l had another lovely moment, on my day in Sydney. This beautiful creature, a Nile dragon,  turned up and allowed me to get right up close to him. Just look at those designs on his body, Mother Nature does it again!

I hope you enjoyed looking at my day in Sydney and some of Nature that influences my Art ... as much as l have enjoyed showing them to you. x
